Lighting is a powerful thing. Each room in your home serves a different purpose and your lighting choices should reflect upon that. From affecting your sleep schedule to powering up your brain to be more productive, different types of lighting serve specific purposes. Proper lighting can make you feel safe and comfortable, and allows you to enjoy your home at its full potential.
A living room is an area where family members or friends gather for longer stretches of time and engage in a number of activities, including conversations, watching television, playing board games, etc. Whether you have a formal living room, a family room, or a den, LED lights for your home will give you an option to illuminate different spaces as per your specifications.
For the living room, you can avoid lighting fixtures that create shadows or any kind of interruption, and use the kind of lighting that brings a sense of brightness to the whole ambiance. You can use task lighting, such as table lamps near a reading chair or game table, and accent lighting such as spot lights to focus on architectural elements, painting, sculpture or plants, in your living room.
For your bedroom, choose warm lights as they are more relaxing and comfortable. Avoid central, ceiling-mounted fixtures that might be perceived harshly when viewed from your bed.
A traditional lighting plan for a bedroom mainly consists of floor lamps and table lamps. These lamps are ideally placed on the nightstand and/or the dresser. On the other hand, a new and modern lighting plan includes wall-mounted fixtures and table lamps on the nightstands, along with a pair of wall-mounted sconces near the dresser.

Kitchen
The basic lighting plan for any kitchen would consist of a central, ceiling-mounted fixture, under-cabinet and above-the-sink lighting fixtures, and ambient lighting fixtures over the kitchen island.
Task areas of the kitchen, such as the island or other spots where one typically chops vegetables and prepares for meals, usually require a more intense lighting. You can have pendant lights or spotlights on the kitchen island and sink area. This traditional lighting plan is adequate for many kitchens and can further be improved by choosing energy-efficient LED lamps.

Bathroom
Bathroom is a very private space. Since the major task of personal grooming is performed here, a bathroom requires a careful consideration when it comes to lighting placements.
Having only a central, ceiling mounted fixture can cast a shadow on the person standing in front of the mirror, ruining the entire grooming process. One of the alterations that you can make is to have the light on the sides of the mirror that will make your bathroom more attractive.
Our home is a space where we have to spend a big part of our life. It definitely needs to be nicely lit.
